New water attraction opens at Lion Country Safari

Can you imagine living in South Florida with no air conditioning? That’s what Lake Worth resident Beverly Bracken has been experiencing for 13 years. All of those 100-degree late afternoon days where the Florida heat strikes most viciously, Beverly could not cool down. That’s when Mark Parrilla, a valued Van Kirk & Sons Pools & Spas customer stepped in and is trying to make her dreams come true. After a successful campaign to clean her yard and months of searching for a recipient for his newly started Leocadia Fonseca grant, he thought of no other person better than Beverly. Named after his late Nana the grant is an upstart to provide Beverly the comfort she has always dreamed of, an air conditioning system installed by EDS Air Conditioning based in Lake Worth, Florida!

On August 6th 2019, Van Kirk & Sons Pools & Spas with representation by EDS Air Conditioning Sales Engineer and Project Manager Eric Ortiz not only attended the Lake Worth Commission Meeting but presented the grant as the first installment payment of $1,209.00 to Beverly for her air conditioning system. In the months to come, they are all doing their part to raise more money to have the air conditioning installed!

According to the www.genesislakeworth.org website Leocadia Fonseca was born in Gurabo Puerto Rico, She lived a life of service including missionary trips to Central and South America. Mary Guzman, Ani Sandoval and Millie Sandoval, all are members of the grant committee. Her grandson, Ani’s son Mark, came up with the idea of this community improvement grant in the amount of $1,209.00 which is his Nana’s birthday to help someone within the Genesis Neighborhood Association boundaries while at the same time casting a light on her legacy of unconditional love and service.
